Randy Bachman and Fred Turner have announced they are currently in the studio recording a new album of original material to be released in 2010 through E1 Music
Over a four-year run, Bachman and Turner (as leaders of Bachman-Turner Overdrive) earned 120 platinum, gold and silver discs with hits in over 20 countries. The hard-rock quartet reached No.1 on both the Billboard singles and album charts, as well as placing a half-dozen more songs in the Top 50. “Takin’ Care of Business,” “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet,” “Let It Ride,” “Roll On Down the Highway,” “Hey You,” “Blue Collar,” “Not Fragile,” “Four Wheel Drive,” “Looking Out For #1” and “My Wheels Won’t Turn” -- are generally considered classic rock anthems, and were written by Bachman and Turner.

When Universal released on Blu-ray Disc the three movies that star Matt Damon as Jason Bourne (The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum), they released them only as a three-disc set. On January 19, they will release them separately as the first to be available in a new Blu-ray/DVD flipper-disc format.
Each disc will have two sides: one will be Blu-ray, the other DVD. Universal claims that all the extras that are available on the regular editions will be found on the flipper disc and notes that it will be the first disc that the owner can take and play anywhere on any video disc player. Craig Kornblau, President of Universal Studios Home Entertainment, further added: “The flipper disc offers an easy way for viewers to convert to Blu-ray now or at any time in the future, confident in the fact that they will be able to experience their home-entertainment purchases in the highest-quality picture and sound when they do.”
The suggested list price for the discs is undetermined at this time.

NCR Corporation and MOD Systems, Inc. have taken the first step in an effort to change the way consumers purchase, rent and play entertainment titles on electronic devices. NCR and MOD Systems today announced a digital-kiosk download pilot that transforms the movie rental experience into a simple, three-step process: choosing from more than a thousand movies and TV shows stored in a kiosk, quickly downloading the title to a secure digital memory card, and playing the movie on a home television.
The pilots, being conducted in select Blockbuster locations and other retail stores, are the first step in an ambitious initiative to leverage breakthrough portable digital-storage technology. The NCR and MOD Systems pilots offer the potential to revolutionize how consumers download movies, TV shows, music, books, games and other digital content outside of the home, and then play them on home televisions, computers, and other mobile devices, regardless of brand.
