All loudspeaker measurements are performed independently at the National Research Council of Canada. All measurement data and graphical information displayed below are the property of the SoundStage! Network and Schneider Publishing Inc. Reproduction in any format is not permitted.
Notes: Because the Heavenly Soundworks FIVE17 loudspeaker is self-powered, the usual measurements of sensitivity, impedance, and electrical phase are not applicable, and so are not included here. (They are relevant only for speakers that require external amplification.) Normally, frequency-response measurements are performed with a 2.83V analog input signal from an amplifier, which is equivalent to 1W into 8 ohms. But since the FIVE17 is self-powered, we fed it a voltage through its analog RCA input that resulted in an average SPL (300Hz to 3kHz) of approximately 81dB at a 2m distance (equivalent to 87dB at 1m, as plotted), to generate the frequency-response charts below.
Except where noted, all the charts below were generating using the Preset 1 setting, which is the default setting for normal listening. Preset 2 and 3 charts have also been added to show how the frequency response changes with those settings.
