For the moment, access will require an instant-streaming Blu-ray Disc that Netflix is making available to all customers. The Blu-ray activates the BD-Live circuitry in the player whereupon the user can access lists of available titles. Customers can still use the Netflix queuing system to organize their requests. Beginning sometime in November, Netflix customers will be able to download movies and television shows to their Sony PlayStation 3s using the PS3’s Internet connection. For $8.99 a month, Netflix customers can have unlimited movies and shows streamed to their PS3s.
